New Music in the Works

I'm excited to begin a new piano solo for Brooks Hafey, Visiting Professor of Keyboard Studies at Sam Houston State University. Although piano is the first instrument I learned to play and it feels like "native territory" to me, this will be my first return to the piano solo medium in several years. I'm looking forward to exploring some ideas (especially rhythmic ideas like polyrhythm and metric modulations) in a solo piano context. I told Brooks to start practicing polyrhythms!
