New Music in Kids' Concert

I'm thrilled about this upcoming performance in Tucson - Chamberhood, and offshoot of the Arizona Friends of Chamber Music, commissioned me to write music for a special Kids' Concert. My wife, Kat Keeling, writes children's books, and we've dreamed of doing a story+music collaboration for years. This was the perfect opportunity. I wrote music to accompany the narration of her amazing book, "Ellie's Red String," with projections of beautiful illustrations by Luna Seanight. Composer John Muniz will also present his musical setting of "Where the Wild Things Are", and I also wrote two settings of Shel Silverstein poems. The Chamberhood trio (Emily Chao, violin; Juan David Mejia, cello; Carla Fabris, harp) are brilliant musicians! It's been such a privilege putting this project together, and I'm excited to share it with the world!
